Spring Rolls Cookalong

Get involved in our celebratory Chinese New Year Cookalong hosted by Chefs to Home.  Chef Olivia will be walking you through a step by step guide to making Spring Rolls, with optional ingredients to suit all participants.  Register, and find out more below.  This event will take place via Zoom.  Zoom can be downloaded via phone or tablet, or easily accessed via URL on your desktop.

Chinese Cookalong

Ingredients

Join us on the 12th February at 6pm for our virtual Chinese Cookalong where we will be making Spring Rolls from scratch.  The Cookalong will be taking place via zoom where you will need to register to attend the event to receive the event link.  The class will take anywhere from between 45-60 minutes where you will receive a personal step by step guide by our resident Chef Olivia.

You are welcome to ask any questions as you go, in this super fun cooking workshop.  This event is completely free to attend.  Register Today to avoid missing out.

  • Spring roll sheets, 1 packet
  • 1/2 Chinese cabbage, cut into fine chiffonade
  • 1 handful of beansprouts
  • 1/2 large carrot, cut into matchsticks
  • 50g of rice noodles, vermicelli, broken into small pieces
  • garlic cloves, minced
  • ginger, 2cm piece, minced
  • 1 tbsp of coriander
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp of rice wine, preferably shaoxing
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 3 tsp cornflour, mixed with 3 tablespoons of water
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • salt
  • Oil, for frying
