World Cancer Day is an international day marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalysing personal, collective and government action, we're working together to reimagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equal for all - no matter who you are or where you live. 

There are many ways that we are encouraged to help prevent cancer.  Get involved and support the cause this Cancer Awareness Day by taking part in a local walk/run, uploading your pictures taken along the way, or even the route you have taken, and help make a difference by making a small donation to a Cancer charity that means something to you.  Find out much more about Cancer Awareness Day here.

To celebrate Valentine's Day we will be sharing gift ideas, homemade chocolate recipes, as well as running both a chocolate-making competition, and Love Coaching Workshop.

The Love Coaching Workshop will be free to attend for all residents, and will provide you with some matchmaking tips in a time where the most popular way to meet someone is online.

It's cool to be kind.  We will be celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day by encouraging residents to offer nice gestures to your neighbours, loved ones, friends and even strangers.  Get involved by sharing with us your heartwarming pictures and stories, and even educate yourself on the importance of Kindness with some on-demand content.
